Every year Kentico recognizes their most helpful and knowledgeable members of those who use their product to build and fix sites. Brenden has consistently been recognized most years for his skills that he shares with those around him! This is based on his knowledge of the program, his ability to help others in their forums, the answers he gave to help solve issues and the amazing work he does with this software.
We received some excellent news earlier this week and have been VERY excited to share it with you!
Brenden has been recognized as one of Kentico’s MVP’s of 2020!
Brenden is a master of his craft, he is always helping those around him and online with various Kentico and Web Development related questions. He also creates breathtaking websites and has an eye for how good sites should be structured, among many other talents!
2020 was a crazy year, it was very unsure for everyone and we all faced challenges in some regard. But even so, Brenden wouldn’t let that slow him down from helping people and doing everything he could to solve various problems, answer questions and chat with those who had issues with their software.
We asked Brenden a few questions about his MVP status, Kentico, and more! Check it out:
What steps did you take to become an MVP?
My first Xperience Conference was in 2011 in Denver, CO. During that conference, I met a great group of people and told myself "I will be an Xperience MVP, whatever it takes". Over the next few years, I was able to develop more sites, learn about Xperience, write several blog posts about Xperience and continue my quest to help others on the Xperience DevNet.
What advice would you give an aspiring developer who wants to be recognized as an MVP?
While the requirements and activities have changed slightly to become an Xperience MVP, I'd suggest doing what you're comfortable with and know. If you're not a speaker, but love to publish articles, write some posts about what you're passionate about regarding Xperience. If you love to speak but don't write much code, then look for opportunities to talk at face to face or virtual events about Xperience. If you're an introvert who has their nose down in the keyboard all day, consider contributing to the Xperience open-source repositories.
What does Kentico mean to me?
This is a very deep and loaded question for me. On one hand, I'd say it's the best Digital Experience Platform on the market. As an agency, we're able to do what our customers need and want with Kentico's products. As a partner, I know when I talk with someone at Kentico, we'll get a real person who knows who we are and will provide us with the solutions and/or direction we need. But on the other, more personal hand, Kentico and Kentico's people (employees, partners, customers, etc.) have become my very close second family. I've personally met some of the best business owners, developers, and clients from all over the world because of Kentico. I've been able to grow as a business owner, developer, and person because of the people I've met through the MVP Program. Being part of the Kentico family is priceless.
Congrats Brenden! Not a bad way to start 2021!
