In this world of social media, ads, and online marketing, you are seeing hundreds of advertisements for different businesses every day. When looking to work with a business, this can both be a great environment to be in, and a confusing one.
There are so many angles to look at when considering which company you want to do work with. Generally, working with a smaller business will grant you some excellent benefits that can be rare in large corporations.
Check them out below:
Transparency
Transparency is something that many smaller businesses pride themselves on. When a company is comprised of a smaller team, with one or two locations, it makes it easy for you to be involved in the work that they are doing for you. It is much easier to communicate with them, set up a time to meet, and fully understand their processes. A business that operates with transparence will not try to hide things they are working on from you or try and hide mistakes they made along the way. They will communicate with you throughout the process of the work and make sure it is what you're looking for.
Communication
When working with a smaller business, you gain the huge benefit of additional communication. You will be communicating with people who are directly working on your project, and hey, if it’s a local business you may even know the people outside of their workplace!
You should not have to sit on hold for hours, just to be able to get an update on your project. You should be able to ask candid questions about the process and get real answers from those you are working with.
Personable
This is something we pride ourselves on. Being personable with you and really understanding what your vision is for your project.
When working with a large corporation, it can be tough to really get to know the team and individuals that are working on your project. But with a smaller company, getting to know the team, and them getting to know you and your project needs is much easier! Our philosophy is that we always want to fully understand what your vision is, we want to know who YOU are, and we want to work with you to make sure we can make your vision into a reality.
Not all of these things are exclusive to smaller businesses. But in general, they are easier to come by with a smaller business!
Regardless of the size of the company you decide to work with, you should feel comfortable and confident when working with them.
