Here at Kehren Development, we believe that business is personal at its core. No matter who you are working with, or what company they represent, each person has a unique and great story. With the business world seemingly becoming more and more corporate and cold, our goal is to keep business personal. And today, we want to share 3 tips you can use to help create or continue to develop a warm and personal enviornment for your business:
Focus on Empathy:
Our goal is to keep business personal, and one of the way we try to do that is through empathy. A great way to help ease nerves and make your business meetings and interactions more personal is to express empathy towards those you are working with. Whether it be on a personal level as you talk about life, or when you are talking business. The key to truly understanding how you can best help your clients is by empathetically putting yourself in their shoes, and really try to understand them as a person, and their business as a whole!
Smile and Be Kind:
This sounds really simple, almost too simple! Yet being kind to those we are working with, and smiling when we are talking to them is a great way to help ease stress or nerves during meetings or interviews. I think we have all had a time or two when we have been treated poorly by someone in a work environment. Having kindness at the forefront of your mind when you are in a work environment benefits both you and those around you! And it greatly helps to make people feel comfortable, and more at ease around you and your team.
Things come up in life, its inevitable. At some point in your business dealings you will have to move things, postpone them, or shuffle things around to make them work. Being flexible and understanding to the life and business of your clients is crucial. Whether its a surprise vacation, a scheduling conflict or any other type of unforseen event that postpones or changes your timeline, remaining positive and flexible will make it very easy to deal with those things when they arise. Keeping things postiive and flixible on your end, even when these inconvieniences come up is a great way to build trust and reputation with your clients.
Keeping business personal is something we will always do. No matter who we are working with, we always want to create an enviornment of positivity. We want to understand your business needs and wants, and truly get to know you as a person. This has been one of our foundational ideals for a while now, and it makes doing business a joy!
